I guess it is because Hall's wing is but a simplified version. It is a one slot wing, to keep it simple and less expensive. C Class wings have two slots. It can also be disassembled (upper and lower parts) for storage. That certainly adds weight, among other implications. I have a couple of pictures available if anyone is interested.
