Talk about practical designers.....
My life is complete....:-)...I had the pleasure of meeting Jim Brown at the Port Towsend Wooded Boat Festival a few weekends ago. He was sitting in the shade next to his son Russell's amazing 18 foot skiff www.PTwatercraft.com Jim jumped out of his chair, and I told him how I have had two of his boats, and trusted his design to my family's care. On and on. It was Hero worship on my part. like meeting a sports super hero or something.
Then up walks Mead Gugeon from West system epoxy. He and Jim were doing a walkabout the country in a little motorhome. They were heading south to see Dick Newick. It was so good to be ablot to share and kicka round boat ideas. Everything from the big schooners outside of us, to the little skiffs.
Bunch of shots on my URL.
