How are you applying it and what is the shape your working on
Having made a lot of molds and one offs the proper tool makes a difference.
I use the body shop spreaders and cut to the contour I am trying for if
a radius or constant curve.
the toothed trowel is a good idea for thick buildup and get some pigment
and add to each layer so you can see where the high and low spots are
