Bill, 

     Condolences on the Baby Burner.  Love reading your stuff though.  Keep
it up.  

Have you considered a lightweight drop down sled (hinged in front) with the
motor on the vertical rear?  Motor with bridle could be removed with the
Afterburner's boom as a crane and stashed on support boat for the race.
Choppy seas would cause problems though maybe.  Maybe some kind of Quick
Disconnect on the OB mount would help?  We have a drop down sled for the
Honda 25 on our beach cat but the motor stays there on the sled.   A couple
of blocks on either side the rear of the sled raise and lower it from the
cockpit.  Sled is made of welded aluminum and could double as a fuel tank
for the motor but has never been used that way by us.   Email me off list
