Hi Andrew, speaking about fantasies, I've had lots of them, as others are remembering me I would be sailing my F39 in 2008 or 2009. I'm still far away from that. However, this is no problem for me as I still like very much what I'm doing and so once in a while it gives us a good excuse to go sailing in other parts of the world.
When I start the build, the SMART engine was new and very promising. I think it died due to unreliability.
Progress will remain in spurts and bursts. Last half year this has been minimal, will see if I can do something about that in the next months.
Great to see Amfitrite is coming back to live again. She is such a nice looking tri and the new beam configuration made that even better. You had a long way to go, hat of for your determination in rebuilding her.

Hi Henny,
well that's true of course, my little 21hp kubota pushes 43' of trimaran at 7 knots in reasonable conditions!....in answer to your question we are pushing for a late April launch...but you never know with these things (painting outside for one thing) wish we lived in them Med! I was hoping to launch last year in September but that was just a fantasy!
So instead we have spent 6 weeks this winter fitting out the inside with airex... I just loaded up the latest pics at www.picasweb.google.com/amfitrite
And your F39? I've been on the site recently actually. I notice that you changed your mind about the SMART engine.
Happy New Year.
best wishes
andrew
