Perhaps the ORMA 60 was the first racing class to adopt and use curved foils
as well. More than experimental.

I think the Lombard reference probably relates to the use of the banana foil
running through the ama, as seen on the ORMA 60's. It looks like Ian's
concept involved a surface piercing foil slung from the forward beam; a
different take.
