[MHml] Proven designs

Alan,
You might consider hiring a designer like Kelsall or Schionning to handle
the basic design issues like where to put the masts, and why. The fore/aft
position of a mast is the primary balancing of the sailplan CE and the hull
shape CR and results in the starting point of helm balance. Catboats have no
headsails and put the mast very forward, look at WylieCats.

As Peter Nice is currently "near" to the boat I think he should be sent to

I would like to second that!! And am willing to cover reasonable costs. I
can prepare some questions etc.

The masts are at 33% of LOA which I expect puts the sailcentre a bit further
forward than is "usual" on cats, so I am very interested in how she handles
and sails. Maybe the mast forward situation is akin to front wheel drive on
a car:-) This first became common more than half a century after the Model
T's....

I would also like to see photos of line set-ups and alot of other stuff...

Alan
