[MHml] proven designs

It was originally a folding sloop rig, but I'm guessing they never figured
how to keep the mast up while folding. Voila! A bi-plane. I also understand
they did a Caribbean cruise in her.

I have been waiting to hear more reviews about this boat since it is so
unique. A trailerable 36' (don't think is 40' Bill) cat is fascinating. If
kept light I think the bi-plane rig would be ideal for this boat. All the
info on the web site says how this is the dream boat for the owner/inventor,
but here he is selling it without any explanation of its abilities. It has
been well over a year since launch. Did they sail it at all? Any one got
more information than the little bit on the web site?

How about the 40' bi-plane Cat-2-Fold currently for sale? Thing actually is
trailerable.

At least with the bi-plane there are designers like Schionning who are
putting them on cruising cats. And boats like Flying Carpet, a biplane
cruising cat using a double surface main sail (Multihulls did a big issue on
them once.)

Does anyone have any information on the 54 foot Kelsall with a bi-plane rig?
See here: http://www.kelsall.com/s7p.html#

Where is she, how does she perform?

Cheers
