When we are talking a voluminous cruising cat, the weight of the 
laminate is not so significant when compared with the weight of all the 
heavy stuff that owners tend to use to fill the volume.

In Dave's case he is likely to be more weight concious than the average 
cruiser with his performance cruiser. The infusion process should help 
to keep the weight closer to design specs I guess, if it is done with skill.

More important I would think would be a quality laminate and a sound design.
