D12 is the marlow sepectra constrcution - this is uncovered and UV coated, if you use cover - allow 2mm for cover ie 10mm covered is 8mm 'stripped' - identical constrcution

marlow also do a V12 (similar constrcution) but using vectran - whose advantace is less creep

i am using thier Vectran for shrouds

Amsteel Blue is Samson's 12 braid SK75 Dyneema. Dyneema is the european equivalent to one type of Spectra, which is a similar product manufactured in the US.
In normal conditions Dyneema should be easier to find in Europe than in the US. Maffioli, Marlow, Cousin and other European manufacturers use it in their lines.

Defender does not carry Amsteel Blue, only the weaker Amsteel, aka Spectron, which is SK 60 Dyneema or the equivalent Spectra type. You'd have to place a special order, but in this case, you should consider Samson's "Lightning" instead. It's a 12 braid with a blend of Vectran and SK75 Dyneema. Compare the lines' features in Samson's website.

(purchased one reel of 8mm "Lightning" through Defender)

They do ship international and after all, the line will be a very light package!
