Could be done with two hydraulic rams, of the same size. Connect to the tillers and a fixed point on each side. Pipe together and when you move one tiller, the other one will follow. The larger the piping, the less resistance. By using a third balanced (piston tube coming out both sides of the ram), attached to a central rudder and you have a full system. I don't know if anyone has done this, but it would work and can be quite compact.

I'd like to install remote tillers on the floats of my 26' tri. With a 21' beam, a 12' tiller extenxion is awkward. Can you give me details on that kind of linkage, or does anyone else have any suggestions on a simple, light weight tiller linkage? It has to make two 90 degree bends to go across the aft crossbeam.
