[MHml] synthetic rigging

Spectra is pretty good with UV, but I share your concern. I have naked dux
dynex 75 as a bob stay on my prod. 2 years, 4 months in the sun so far and
no sign of degradation. No fuzz, no broken fibers, etc. Vectran w/ UV
coating showed degradation in the first 6 months. I don't know how old the
original kevlar stay was, but it was downright hairy when I replaced it.
Still mast stays have a bit more importance, so I had heat shrink put over
the dux dynex 75, covered all the top lashings with anti chafe & rigging
tape, and put canvas covers over the deadeyes and lashings. No exposed
spectra anywhere. And some chafe protection from unforseen rubbing.

My main worry about converting to synthetic rigging is the possibility of UV
degradation.
What is the general concensus?
