It had one of those sterns where the inner leaf of each hull is cut away to 
form a platform. The film showed a rescue diver in full kit gaining access 
relatively easily. Of course he would be young and fit.

On a more general note access from the water for most vessels is generally 
poorly thought out. There are some notable exceptions.
