My experience with Vivid, also in white, was that it worked great for about
4~5 months with no slime or growth, getting slimey for a couple of months
and then died. 7 months isn't too impressive in my book. I'm moored in
brackish water that gets fresher in the summer. That's when it went from
white to barnacles. I did the bottom in Vivid again as I still had enough
but next year I think I'm going back to Trinidad as it's what I've had the
best luck with here in Florida.
Sigi, what didn't you like about the copperpoxy?

Well, that settles it for VC Offshore. Pettit's Vivid was on my list - it is
cheaper, too. I just wonder if it works well in our special conditions:
We have our F-33 trimaran moored in a tidal river in the Pacific Northwest
during the summer time. The little river is carrying large amounts of
fertilizer from the fields upstream. During the hot months you can almost
watch the slime and barnacles growing. Last year I scrubbed the hulls (three
of them) almost on a weekly basis. This summer I'd like to be better
prepared.
We have already tried Copperpoxy and Micron Extra. Anybody with a better
suggestion for brackish waters?
Sigi
