[MHml] Multihull delivery gone badly wrong

Photo's of Afterburner capsized show her nets just below the water, as Ross
describes. Hulls would be full of water from the main hatch anyway, with
all loose gear carried away from the surge. AB probably has a good 4' of
airspace/headroom when inverted and flooded.

calm conditions, will that render there escape to be non detremental to the
safety of the inverted hull.
afterall, if you open that hatch in anything more than a 1ft chop and the
compartment will take on a substantial amount of water.

as the inherent bouyancy of the boat (from beams etc) take over the amout
of water sloshing around inside becomes irrelevant. all the multis i have
seen inverted float with deck/netting just under the surface even with
escape/access hatches open leaving more than sufficent to shelter from the
elements.

maybe a better safety question to ask the designer is 'how does it float
inverted' rather than the 'will it capsize' - and ask for the evidence

after all any boat will eventaully reach a point of capsize, multis happen
to be stable once inverted whilst most monohulls tend to be unstable and
self right
