[MHml] water pump in just one hull?

Evan,

I have water tanks in both hulls and a pump in the middle - only if I
leave it running for a while (by mistake) when the tank goes dry does it
take extra time to pull the water up after a refill. But that has only
been a few times and not a big deal. Most of the time I shut it off when
it goes dry, switch to the other tank and when I refill and switch back,
it is normal.

Anybody have a cat with water tanks in both hulls, but a pressure water
pump in just one hull? Would like to minimize weight etc. but I'm not
sure if a typical Shurflo pump can suck up say 5' to get over the
bridgedeck and draw water from the opposite side if one tank runs dry
