[MHml] Diesel electric power - was Outdrives

I saw a neat solution from Gideon Goudschmidt of African Fastcats, where he
has designed a couple of electric "torpedo drives" that swing up under the
cockpit hydraulically when not in use. When in use they swing down and can be
used to both generate power or drive the boat.

I will be visiting him in Durban in a few weeks,and hopefully get to see 
the actual system.

That's interesting as I mentioned the diesel/electric technology to him during
the Annapolis show, and he did not seemed interested or that aware of it. His
focus was to go forward with the new Volvo IPS forward prop systems
exclusively
