    Leave the mast up.  Just use a longer sling!  Sky Cranes need more work besides logging all our trees up here in Washington.  they really are amazing helos though.  A little humor makes the day, right!  
    Bill, In the meantime I will send a photo of the outboard sled on Sugaree Too.  Could be enlarged to accommodate a very large single outboard.  Kind of like Roy's only much further back.  When you are ready to race, remove the outboard motor with the boom as a crane, put it in a large dinghy and send it over to your support team to tend while you are racing.  Support Team?
