[MHml] outboard in box/well

I would strongly recommend against such a system.  When the outboard 
is deployed, the drag is enormous.  You have the drag from the lower 
unit of the outboard, from the struts holding the bottom "door" to 
the engine compartment and from the door itself.  And then there is 
the worst problem, and that is the huge hole you're dragging around 
with water trying to rush in and then being opposed by water sloshing 
out.  Then there is the water that is permanently in the engine well 
causing you to lose buoyancy aft (I seriously doubt that you could 
ever seal the bottom door sufficiently so as to be able to actually 
pump the water out and keep it out when the engine is 
retracted).  All in all, it sounds like a good idea but sled mounted 
outboards are much simpler and cleaner.
