i think that is more a question of sail balance than helm
i guess you had more power than usual - hence unexpected hull flying
on Charsteon i am wary of bearing off with thegennaker up as things tend to power up fast. In contrast on the Vx40's they are underpowered (honest) in comparison to the Formula 28 and are quite happy to bear away under gennaker and in fact do so to de-power the boat
