XL2 has a round aluminum alloy front crossbeam with strut (seagull or
pelican striker) parallel with the forestay.
Most of the cats I have seen with round front crossbeams and struts have
had them aligned thus.
Many cats with aluminum alloy front crossbeams do not need a strut. I
think this may be the case with XL2, that is I could delete the strut or
reduce the wall thickness of the beam.
