[MHml] Prop Rotation

I have a 34 foot Simpson Trimaran in my barn with a Yanmar 2GM20 diesel
engine.  When the boat was in the water, I noticed that boat speed
seemed kind of low while motoring.  I was reading a Latts and Atts
article and the guy talked about a similiar problem, then noticed on
haulout that he had a left handed prop for a right handed motor.  So he
was basically going in reverse while in forward gear.  I looked at my
prop and I think I have the same thing going on.  Am I right to say that
the straight edge of the prop should be leading when in forward?  Mine
has the curved edge leading when in forward gear.  I guess I should of
thought of this before, but why would the previous owner do this?
