I will try to respond to your questions and reactions as best as I can.
In order of appearance:

1) The music was not my choice. I actually only provided the boat.
Wind instruments next time perhaps? :-)

2) The equipment used (apart from my boat) was a digital video camera,
a bullet cam feeding signal into the the DV camera and a very basic
GPS feeding the DV camera through some sort of interface that created
a text overlay on the video. If you want more details I have to
ask Håkan for
a detailed description. If you go to
    http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=Sailing+catamaran
you will find more videos by Håkan. I know he mentions his equipment in
    one of them.

3) Great VMG and tacking through 100 degrees. We were really just out
for a joy ride making no effort to optimize VMG. Also, the main is from 1998
so its leech is not quite stiff enough when sailing three up.

4) True wind speed. Well hard to tell really. We sailed on a really sheltered
patch of water roughly elliptical and 2 nautical miles North to South and
1 nautical mile East to West - think lake for sailing conditions. Real gusty
in other words. In the strongest gusts we had some white caps starting
    to form. http://tinyurl.com/yxc2ju

5) Video format. I up-loaded 640x480 mpeg4 video + mp3 sound (mono) in an
avi container. What Google does to it I don't know but you need a flash
player to watch it. If that doesn't work for you try this link (94 MB!!):
