Fair enough- rule is modified to just require sails fit inside
triangles made by class rule forestay and backstay, and certainly
shunting would be fair. This particular rule is designed to test boat
design, hence the one-design rig and sails. A Rule that just said xxx
sq. feet of sail tests sail design and boat design

The idea of a J24 rig is just to pick something easy and obvious and
possibly cheap. The idea of a $5,000 claim is to keep someone from
trying too hard (show up and win with something too fancy costing
$20,000 and someone will buy it. Show up with a winner that cost you
less than $5,000 and someone might buy it- your choice.)
