As an ex-race car fabricator I can tell you that the rule book for any 
class you might want to imagine is literally a foot deep.
I like the claiming race, but $5000?!  Perhaps an inflation adjusted 
1980 dollar?
But box rules are intriguing, remembering that boxes are 3 dimensional 
and that 1 of the dimensions could be sail area or standard rig (but I 
question the J-24) although perhaps standard spar and an area spec?  
Just thinking aloud, but what's the elegant copper and mahogany bar for 
anyway?
