Pick your weather carefully, and make sure you look at the fronts coming
across the east coast. You definitely want to avoid the Gulf Stream and its
eddies in a northerly blown which can occur in the spring thunderstorm
season.

The good news is these spring time fronts don't last as long as the winter
northerlies

And I would highly recommend a parachute anchor:
