yep saw that program (in the Uk its known as Scrapheap challenge on C4)- my
kids are big fans of it
the build projects are quite amazing 8 hours to build X from what they can
find in a massive scrap yard

as well a  boats they have build submarines, race cars, and
even built (and flown) a glider in 8 hours!
