As a new reader I wanted to comment on past discussions of daggerboard cores
in france. They get away with light foam core because the core only supports
one of two types of intenal structures.
1. Imagine the shaped foam blank is cut into strips about the thickness of
the board and each is wrapped with double bia material and then glued back
together, and then the section is over wrapped with the predominatly ud layup.
2. Each half board is laidup and an offset set of stringers are laminated
over a light core. when the two halves are bonded togerther the stringers
nest together perfectly.
