It certainly sounds like an intriguing technology and perhaps one adaptable to
yachts, though I wouldn't expect much from the regenerative braking capability. 
A 67hp gas motor/generator with battery bank and capable of direct drive sounds
just about right for a seven ton multihull yacht.
